Overview

Why visit Agadir in Morocco

Agadir in Morocco is the country’s sunny beach city, with a long sandy bay, a promenade lined with palms and more than 300 days of sunshine a year. Rebuilt after the 1960 earthquake, it is modern and relaxed rather than historic, which makes it a good place to unwind after the cities. The surf villages of Taghazout, the argan forests of the Souss and the hills of the Anti-Atlas are all within easy reach. In town, the Souk El Had market, the marina and the old kasbah on the hill above the bay are the main sights. Winters stay mild, which makes Agadir in Morocco a popular escape from the cold.
